Week 2: NURTURING A SENSE OF CONNECTION, BELONGING & SIGNIFICANCE

  • Celebrating the uniqueness of your child, looking at different temperaments, interests, stages of development

  • The positive impact this has on behaviour & developing a sense of value & purpose

 

Week 3: CREATING AN ENVIRONMENT OF KINDNESS & FIRMNESS,

SETTING BOUNDARIES & FOLLOWING THROUGH

  • The importance of healthy boundaries, embedding family rules & meaning what we say

  • Understanding how children develop a sense of trust & self-discipline

 

Week 4: EMPOWERING CHILDREN - PROVIDING CHILDREN WITH OPPORTUNITIES TO MAKE CHOICES, DEVELOP LIFESKILLS & POSITIVE BEHAVIOURS 

  • Creating an environment within which children develop life skills, confidence, self-discipline, independence & positive beliefs about themselves & their sense of worth, which they will carry with them throughout life

  • Introducing techniques and tools that enable children to practice making their own choices & realise how capable they are 

 There is lots of complimentary content & links between week 4 & 5

Week 5: NURTURING SELF-ESTEEM, RESILIENCE & PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS

  • Understanding what healthy self-esteem is & how children develop it

  • The link between resilience & self-esteem & how they are side effects of different experiences

  • Techniques that support problem solving skills & a more harmonious family environment 

 Week 6:  NURTURING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, FLUENCY & SELF CARE

  • Looking at what emotional fluency & diversity is – Exploring how we can help our children to recognise, understand & articulate the wide range of diverse feelings we all experience.

  • Introducing techniques to help children to calm down, feel better & access the rational thinking part of the brain, so that they are able to work through difficult emotions & make choices with greater success 

  • Understanding the positive impact this has on emotional well-being, resilience, interpersonal skills  & relationships with others.

 

Week 7: NURTURING POSITIVE, OPEN & FELIXIBLE MINDSETS

  • Exploring the difference between 'Growth Vs Fixed Mindsets' & the impact this has on learning, development & decision making

  • The effect our mindset has on achieving goals & thriving 

Week 8: THE IMPORTANCE OF PLAY & NATURE ON CHILD DEVELOPMENT

  • Looking at evidence that demonstrates the positive impacts engaging in play & nature has on children & adults, physically, mentally & emotionally

  • Exploring the effect of todays world on children's lifestyles & habits (screen time, social media, social pressures etc) & the effect on physical & mental health

Week 9: RAISING HOPEFUL, BRAVE & COURAGOUES CHILDREN

  • Looking into

    ' hope' as a cognitive process - 'Hope Theory'

  • The effects that the different components of hope and the way in which a child see themselves has on a child's ability to believe in themselves & achieve their goals

 Week 10: TANTRUMS - THE DIFFERENT KINDS

  • Talking about the different parts of the brain & brain development

  • Looking at different aspects that effect the 'type' of tantrum children have at any one time
  • Exploring the upstairs Vs the downstairs brain, the emotional Vs the rational/practical brain
     

After this we can tailor the focus points to suit the groups needs & focus on areas you would like to explore further

FLEXIBILE & BESPOKE FOCUS POINTS & MEETS

  • Focus points can be flexible according to the groups requests & needs

  • If you have your own group of mums we can create a one off session, or a 3/4/5 week package of meets tailored around the areas you would like to focus on most 

  • One to one sessions can be based around focus points of your choice
